Doctors collaborate on study of early Alzheimer's diagnosis

The paths of Drs. John Dougherty and Alan Solomon crossed when they realized their respective clinical and scientific work shared a common substance found in patients with Alzheimer's disease."The thing that threw us together was amyloid, of course," Dougherty said. "There was a natural coming together when it became obvious that amyloid was a big player in Alzheimer's disease."
