About SNM
Society Overview
The SNM is an international scientific and professional organization founded in 1954 to promote the science, technology and practical application of nuclear medicine. Its 16,000 members are physicians, technologists and scientists specializing in the research and practice of nuclear medicine. In addition to publishing journals, newsletters and books, the Society also sponsors international meetings and workshops designed to increase the competencies of nuclear medicine practitioners and to promote new advances in the science of nuclear medicine.

Governance Overview
SNM
The SNM is a volunteer, not-for-profit entity organized under section 501(c) 3 of the IRS code.
Technologist Section (SNMTS)
SNMTS is designed to meet the needs of the nuclear medicine technologist.
Molecular Imaging Campaign
Bench To Bedside
A campaign to raise financial support, awareness, and commitment for the effort to translate molecular imaging into clinical practice.
Members Get Involved
Member-driven groups at the local, regional and national level.
Chapters
SNM has a strong grassroots network that provides a forum for SNM members to take an active part in local activities. As an SNM Member, you are automatically enrolled in one of 13 state/regional Chapters comprising the United States and Canada.
Councils
Councils provide professional networking and educational programs for nuclear medicine professionals in respective areas, while simultaneously serving as a resource for development and implementation of Society policy.

An organizational component within the SNM that is dedicated to all aspects of molecular imaging in the detection and management of disease.
PET Center of Excellence
An organizational component within the SNM dedicated to all aspects of the development and utilization of PET and PET/CT in the detection and management of disease.
