In January 2009, SNM became an official sponsor of the bimonthly journal Molecular Imaging, an authoritative resource for molecular imaging research, covering all modalities, with special attention given to emerging techniques, innovative model systems and new imaging agents at the interface between basic science and medicine. The journal has an impact factor of 3.169. The second issue of 2009 featured past Molecular Imaging Center of Excellence President Henry VanBrocklin, PhD, as guest editor. Henry VanBrocklin was also recently named as the new editor in chief of Molecular Imaging, effective January 2012.
