2009 Annual Meeting Travel Awards

Travel Awards are available in 2009 to support the attendance of postdoctoral or clinical trainees, nuclear medicine technologists, and nuclear medicine technology students to present their molecular imaging/nuclear medicine abstracts at the SNM Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada.

Applications received before the March 31st, 2009 acceptance notification deadline will not be considered. You must know your date of presentation in order to apply.

SNM Travel Awards

  • Thirty $1,000 awards are available
  • Selection of recipients will be based upon the abstract ranking, number of abstracts accepted, method of presentation (oral abstracts may be preferred), as well as the membership status of the applicant & recommender (active membership status is preferred).
  • Applicants must currently be students or trainees in a field relative to nuclear medicine and/or molecular imaging.

** The SNM Travel Award is intended for students, postdoctoral, or clinical trainees. Nuclear medicine technologist students are not eligible and should instead apply for the SNMTS Student Travel Award and/or the PDEF Student Travel Award.**

SNMTS Travel Awards

  • Thirty $1,000 awards are available
  • Selection of recipients will be based upon the abstract ranking.
  • Applicants must be certified Nuclear Medicine Technologists.

SNMTS Student Travel Awards & PDEF Student Travel Awards

  • Fifteen $1,000 SNMTS awards & Ten $500 PDEF awards are available
  • Selection of recipients will be based upon the abstract ranking.
  • Applicants must be nuclear medicine technologist students.

Notes to Travel Award Applicants

  • Electronic submission is required for 2009. Please refer to the applications for specific instructions. If you have trouble using the .pdf form, please email grantinfo@snm.org to receive the application in a format compatible with your software.
  • All travel award applications must be received by 5:00pm Tuesday, April 14th, 2009 in order to be considered. No exceptions will be made.
